****Having just recently made legend on my first character I feel brave enough to pk a little, at least in the open. 
I met a *dreadful Orc* around moors and but was half moves and hps so regened a little and after full, I decided to track
I tracked and followed west on OER.***

Congrats on first legend! I enjoyed reading this, reminds me of when I first started!

To sum it up abit: You got hit with a morgul blade, resulting in a evil wound. This killed you, and Sauron shows up as your wraith (which has all your eq). Its not that hard to kill, so its just a matter of someone finding the room you died in :)

As a second tip: Fine grey cloak doesnt have any move regen, so if you are having movement issues - A tip is to get a forest green cloak :)

Keep on playing, you improve your skill every day! :)

Marie: thanks!!! though i felt like it was a dumb way to die and I was stuck in mandos for a while, the unfairness, and balance and imbalance is part of what I enjoy about mume.
I do find that pk is a pretty steep learning curve. I had that stuff, but in the moment i was not thinking about it, and i did not realize till too late...next time i am sure.

Ppl have commented about blade and fgc.

Also remember that you regen faster when closer to full. So better not to run around almost tired. You seem to lose a ton of mps so might need to prac wilderness and carry less weight too. And wear black padded boots when going long distances bc they reduce move cost (maybe someone smarter than me can say whether that's true while riding and address saddle bonus).

If you use mmapper you should be able to spam around blind easier too.

It's a tough game, which is partly why it's so fun. Mp usage and regen are really important for pk.

Pro tip: Spamming around on foot in full metals is not fun, even as a 150-mps dwarf warrior. Learn to ride, get a mount, use it early and often.

to sum it up:
* if you are a walker dwarf, get max endurance and wilderness.
* can still take some lessons in ride for long travels. even if it is a regular pony, you can abuse it to tired permarefusing mount and just abandon it someplace by road (where you can grab it later once in need). it is specially true on higher levels when you have pracs for endurance, wilderness and ride.
* keep your mps fullish. low mps is the easiest way to die in mume. can also walk off road, camp, cover fire, sleep. even if someone is after you, most probably you regen your mps up b4 he finds you.
* find out about ways to replentish mps. there are skills, eq, herbs, actions to do so. use them. i e dont walk around tracking with fine grey cloak.
* do not drag around junk, specially canoes, rafts, corpses etc. and by dragging around i do not mean 'drag' command. look into your backpack - is there a dead deer :P you are not a mule - let the mule carry your loot.

* if you have no mapper as newbie, you might find mume easier with one. the experience is different but certainly easier.

* you were near bree and found out you have an evil wound. go inside to safe. rest and ask people to help you. one experienced player with cleric char was enough to save you. you met a group of 3 of one was a cleric. tell them you are a newbie and in dire need for help with evil wound. if they have _any_ clue, with a little luck, you are saved.

* die with a strong friendly mobile in room if you are about to. my pick in bree would be innkeeper. could also use west gate mobs. my guess is if there is someone willing to help you, he can hit wraith, mobs will assist, player can flee out, return and hit/cast/shoot wraith from behind the mob. never tried it tho.

* it is good that you died. you did all to make it happen. now this is exp you wont forget. and this is an adventure. it was fun, wasnt it?
