The Greyflood
The current slows and fragments momentarily as the river becomes choked with
weed and debris, its force dispersed into small eddies and backwaters. Low
banks patched with small clumps of hardy dun-coloured grasses border the
polluted waterway as it flows towards the gated entrance to the west.
A resident occasionally adds to the current a helping of garbage or perhaps the
contents of a chamber-pot.
